India’s election concluded on Monday after five weeks of voting. Why did it take so long? According to Time, the government of India has pledged to make sure that nobody has to travel more than a mile or so to vote.
Time reports that “A polling station was set up in Gujarat for a single man who lives in a forest there, complete with staff and its own voting machine.”
Pretty legit.
Way to go, India! We’re celebrating this victory of Democracy and can’t wait to see the results of the election.
