    Get To Know Them

If you couldn’t be a musician, what would you be doing instead?
It’s hard to imagine a life not making music and I feel I wouldn’t stray far. I could see myself writing or even acting…maybe I could play a musician in a movie. - Shane
I always thought that it would be cool to be an architect, but really, if I could have it my way, a professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets. - Louis

If you could collaborate with one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?
I’d love to write a song with John Lennon that really would be a dream come true. - Shane
I would have to say Gary Clark Jr., a great modern guitar player and an awesome songwriter. - Christopher

If you became President, what is the first action you would take?
Healthcare for all. We live in the greatest country in the world and could set the standard for loving and caring for each other. - Shane
I would make Texas its own country. - Christopher
I would make Yoda my vice-president/first advisor and Darth Vader the head of homeland security, and do whatever they wanted to do. Then, I would hire Stewie from Family Guy as my Secretary of Treasury because he would whip everyone into shape. - Louis

What social cause is closest to your heart?
Food, clothing, housing and healthcare for every man, woman and child in the world. - Shane
My best friend died of cancer in 2006. Cancer research is the biggest “cause” I am concerned with. - Portland

What does the right to vote mean to you?
I see it as a way to be heard. Not every one in the world has the right to vote, so don’t take it for granted, every vote counts. Stand up and be heard. - Shane Lawlor
That I have a voice… and it matters! - Portland Musser

What bands or artists did you listen to when you were in high school? And which bands or artists influenced your style the most?
The Beatles were a huge influence both musically and stylistically. I’d say the band as a whole were listening to bands like Green Day, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Sublime, and of course the Clash. - The Band

What change would you like to see in our society in the next year?
I would fight for independence and free thought every day! - Christopher
I want to see more love for opportunity in America. - Isaac

What activity or group were you involved with in high school that might surprise people today?
I was a soccer player, and SHHHHH a male model :/ - Portland
Me and some friends started a club called the Anti-Social club. The biggest club on campus, it was a club to do nothing. ALL IRONY! - Isaac

What’s the biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in high school? (could be personal or academic)
Going to a different High School every year of High School and being Horribly shy. -Portland
Interestingly enough, just getting over the fear of being in front of people and having enough self confidence to do what I felt was right, not my friends. - Isaac
Graduation. School was not always the easiest thing for me, but I knew that if I stuck to it and worked harder than everyone else, I would succeed. I did, and don’t regret one minute of it. - Louis

Do you do any volunteer or community work when you’re not on tour?
It is easy to forget how fortunate we all are. This band is always doing whatever we can to help the less fortunate and those in need. Whether it is donating our music and time for a benefit concert or donating a portion of our merch on Vans Warped Tour to Music Cares, it is important to help people out. The whole point of playing music is to inspire people and make them happy when they are down; it just wouldn’t be right if we didn’t help!
