The “slow jam the news” President is back! This time, President Obama appeared on “Between Two Ferns” with Zach Galifiankakis to trade jokes with the “Hangover” comedian and plug the Affordable Care Act.
Over the past few months, President Obama has been working hard to reach out to young people around the country (the so-called “Invincibles”) and encourage them to sign up for healthcare through the healthcare.gov exchange. Without young enrollees, the exchange won’t be able to support the millions of people who have signed up since the website launched in October.
Know for his candor and familiarity with popular culture, Obama spares no wit in his exchange with Galifianakis. He rags on the comedian, saying “I think that’s why you’re not President” when Galifiankis suggests making same-sex divorce illegal. Despite the not-so-subtle Obamacare plug, the video still leaves us with some incredibly entertaining dialogue. But don’t take our word for it. This is six minutes well spent.
